Fifty-five participants from twenty-two companies attended the Promise of Integrity World Café Workshop organised Promise of Integrity  and hosted by Motorola Solutions Penang. The objective of the event was to share best practices and facilitate open discussion on common challenges on Gifts, Meals, Entertainment and Travel (GMET), Handling Conflicts of Interest and Cultivating Culture of Compliance.

The event started off with Welcome Remarks by Mr John Andersen, Deputy Managing Director of Motorola Solutions. This was followed by an introduction to the World Café Workshop, hosts and participants by Melissa Khoo, Secretariat for Promise of Integrity.

Intel took on the topic of GMET – led by Ms Iris Sung (Managing Counsel, Regional Compliance) and Ms Ku Soo Peng (Risk Management and Controls Sr. Manager ) . Mr Lee Koh Wing (Supplier Alliance Sponsor and Corporate Services Director, Intel Malaysia, SEA & Australia) joined Ms Tan Bee Eng from Bemis Asia Pacific (Director – Finance & Org Development) in hosting the other GMET table.

B.Braun Medical Industries and Motorola Solutions took on the topics of “Handling Conflicts of Interest". B.Braun was represented by Mr Graham Rice (General Manager, Head of Asia Pacific Procurement) , Ms Soon Thiam Hooi (Director – Head of Indirect Procurement) and Ms Teo Hui Shan (Senior Manager, Programme Management Policy & Processes, Asia Pacific) .  Motorola Solutions was represented by  Mr John Andersen (Deputy Managing Director) and Mr Eric Yong (Global Purchasing Director). 

Both Keysight Technologies and ManpowerGroup hosted tables discussing “Cultivating a Culture of Compliance". Keysight was represented by Mr Tay Eng Su, Director, Customer Experience, Quality and Compliance, Ms Jenny Foo, Director, Customer Experience, Technical Information Services and Communications and assisted by Ms Tan Pek Yee, Global Procurement Compliance Program Manager. ManpowerGroup was represented by Mr Sam Haggag, (Director & Executive Sponsor, TAPFIN, Asia Pacific & Middle East, Country Manager – Malaysia & Indonesia) and Ms Michelle Teoh (Head Of Business Development). 

Founding member leader from B.Braun Medical Industries, Mr Graham Rice (General Manager, Head of Asia Pacific Procurement),  gave the closing remarks – noting that it had been a very fruitful workshop with a lot of good interaction from participants and hosts.  Participants then adjourned for Group Photo and Networking Lunch.
